Flower Photos from my garden

by happy28 @ 13/07/2008 - 16:06:33

Goodness, it's been such a long time since I visited this blog. Our home has been in a state of upheaval and I can never seem to find the camera when I want it.

Enough excuses, I am a camera shy photographer. No matter.

Last Sunday I went to the garden centre with friends and splashed out on £45 of plants, including a beautiful rose bush. Well, I've not had time to put them in the ground, and they were looking sorry for themselves today. SO Finally they have been rehoused in the sod. And they look so pretty. Not sure if theyve got enough space, but that's a worry for another day!

Without further ado... meet the ladies!

Photos of happier times

by happy28 @ 26/05/2008 - 16:58:02

Firstly a shot of me which I like.

Secondly a blurry one of hubby. No idea how or why it is so out of focus, but never mind.

Followed by a close up of my ficus plant on the bathroom window ledge.

And one of the family at a happier time - hubby took the photo.

This is Worthing pier. I like the way the sun came through the clouds.

I need to remember that there is plenty of time for more happy times and to make more memories.

Beautiful Devon scenery

by happy28 @ 22/05/2008 - 06:42:56

In an attempt to lighten my mood, and because I saw Uskys bluebells, I thought I'd post my holiday photos.

A carefully pruned tree or a wonderful picnic spot? A picnic spot?

Rusty for Usky

by happy28 @ 21/05/2008 - 08:26:48

These were taken on my last day at Fitfarms, despite walking past it every day I didn't notice the Rusty potential until then. Maybe through exhaustion?

Sitting in my mums garden with my sister over the weekend enjoying the sun. Thought I'd share the pretty (if wild) flowers in her garden with you.

Swings anyone?

by happy28 @ 06/04/2008 - 13:43:24

I love the swings, they remind me of carefree times as a child, who could swing highest? who could jump off the furthest? who could fall and get the biggest scar.

From time to time I visit this park and have a swing, see if I can go as high as I used to, but I tend to stop, either for worry of falling or from motion sickness. Thank god I didn't have these worries as a child. But anyway, seeing them always fills me with a sense of calm. These images more so, as everything is so still, waiting for someone to come take advantage. You can even see shadows in the snow.

Photo's for MKfunky

by happy28 @ 20/12/2007 - 19:10:21

Thank you all for your encouragement to get out and take more photos, but todays pics are for MK who said I should "take my camera everywhere". I haven't followed this advice as I still feel uncomfortable but I did go back indoors today on way to Sainsburys to get said camera, with MK's words ringing in my ears.

So, if you like what you're seeing, she is my muse for the day! I played around with some of the SP settings, I'm still trying to get a feel for the cameras capabilities, and I will check out all the website links shortly, but I have a few 'bits' to get done before Christmas Day dawns.

So, here are todays pics:

I was trying to capture the cold and emptiness of the streets near my home in these two photos

Next, a rosebush that I used to walk past every day to catch the train. Both pics are from the same bush, just a slightly different angle and I think the second is with the macro setting:
Rose in ShadowCrystal Clear I can't get over the clarity of the rose and the contrast of pink against green.

The bark of this tree made me stop to capture its beauty. tree bark

That's it for now, but there are more to come from todays expedition. I've just gotta go eat! Maybe tomorrow I'll add the others on.

Happy
